SSC CGL Syllabus 

The SSC CGL Syllabus 2019-20 PDF and Exam Pattern of Tier-I, II, III, and IV Examination are provided on this page for those candidates who are going to appear in the selection process. The SSC CGL Tier- 1 Examination will be conducted from 2to 11th November 2019 on the different venues across India.

SSC CGL Syllabus 

The SSC CGL Notification was released to fill Group “B” and Group “C” posts in various Ministries/ Departments in the Government of India. An ample number of eligible and interested candidates had applied online by 22/11/2019.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern/SSC CGL Syllabus-

  • The questions will be asked objective types and multiple choices only for Tier-I Exam.
  • The language of asked questions in the exam will be English & Hindi for Part-2, 3 & 4.
  • The negative marking for every wrong answer is 0.50 marks.
  • Duration of the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exanimation is 60 Minutes.

Computer-Based Examination: Tier-I (Objective Type):

Part Subject:

1. English Comprehension (25 questions)…50 marks

2. General Intelligence (25 questions)….50 marks

3. Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) (25 questions)…50 marks

4. General Awareness (25 questions)….50 marks

Tier-II (Objective Paper):

  1. English Comprehension and Language (200 questions)…200 marks
  2. General Intelligence of Finance & Accounts (60+40=100 questions)….200 marks
  3. Quantitative Abilities (100 questions)…200 marks
  4. Statistics (100 questions)….200 marks

Negative Marking-

Paper-1- 0.25

Paper-3- 0.50

Duration-

120 Minutes

Kindly Note-

  • Paper-1&2 are compulsory for all the applied applicants.
  • Paper-3 is only for those candidates who are applying Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler.
  • Paper- 4 is only for Assistant Audit Officer Posts.

CGL Tier- 3 Exam Pattern-

  • This paper will be Descriptive Type consist of 100 marks.
  • Duration of Test- 60 Minutes.
  • The candidates may use pen-paper in this paper to check their writing capabilities.
  • Essay/ Passage- 250 Words
  • Letter/Application- 150 Words.
  • Qualifying Marks- 33%
  • The questions will have appeared 10+2 level in this paper and candidates can write in Hindi or English.

SSC CGL Tier-IV Exam Pattern-

  • The Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be conducted in Tier-4.
  • The Data Entry Speed should be 8000 Key Depressions in 1 hour on Computer.
  • There must be 15 thousand key depressions in 1 hour for data entry on Computer for the post as Data Entry Operator and Auditor General of India (C&AG).
  • English typing: 35 words in 1 minute.
  • Hindi typing:  30 words in 1 minute.
